b. Inspection. Inspect wedge bolts and nuts for

stripped threads and replace if necessary.
The movable jaw wedge is a tapered wedge which holds
the movable jaw firmly against the face of the pitman by
means of large bolts running through holes east in the
wedge in reverse procedure of removal.
(2) Install the movable jaw wedge in place,
pound with a heavy hammer and simultaneously tighten
movable jaw wedge as follows:
the hold down bolts to ensure movable jaw wedge is
(1) Remove bolts and drive wedge out of the
properly tightened and secured.
(2) Insert bolts into the wedge from the jaw side
to prevent wedge from falling into crusher.
