MAINTENANCE:
INSPECT MUFFLER AND EXHAUST connec-
tions every 800 hours for leaks or damaged
tubing.
Welding Muffler
MUFFLER REPLACEMENT:
When muffler replacement is necessary, it
should be noted that mufflers do not come with
mounting blocks attached. The mufflers must
be mounted and properly aligned and the
mount blocks should be tack welded to the
muffler while on the machine. The muffler can
then be removed and the blocks welded. Care
should be taken not to burn through the muffler
casing when welding.
Warning: When welding on the machine, it is
necessary that the batteries be disconnected to
prevent damage to the alternator.
