(3) Current Regulator. Two checks and
adjustments are required on the current regulator: air
gap and current setting. The AIR GAP and not the
POINT OPENING is checked and adjusted procedure
being the same as for the voltage regulator above.
Current Setting (fig. 12-7). To check the current
regulator setting, it is necessary to keep the voltage
regulator from operating so that the generator output
can increase to the value for which the current regulator
is adjusted, and thus cause the current regulator to
