a. General. The overspeed governor is driven by
the blower drive shaft. The governor is calibrated by the
manufacturer to open or close the switch contacts at
1500 rpm. The switch contacts will reset automatically
when the speed is reduced approximately 100 rpm
below the trip speed of 1500 rpm.
