49. Crankshaft Pulley and Front Cover
a. General. The crankshaft pulley is located on the
front of the crankshaft outside of the cylinder block. The
cooling fan and battery charging generator are driven by
the crankshaft pulley. The front cover is located
between the pulley and the cylinder block and serves as
a housing for the front main bearing oil seal.
b. Removal
(2) Remove the muffler and air cleaner
